Kids Against Hunger DC Metro (KAH DC Metro) is a humanitarian food-aid organization that combats hunger in the United States and around the world by packaging and distributing nutritious meals to malnourished people.
KAH DC Metro is a Washington D.C. affiliate of Kids Against Hunger, which has over 80 affiliates across the U.S. and Canada.

June 6, 2014:
KAHDC Metro partnered with students at Westgate Elementary School in Falls Church who raised $7,500 over 6 months and packaged over 31,000 meals on June 6th, 2014. The first and second graders kicked the event off by packaging 10,000 meals. The fourth and fifth graders packaged an additional 22,000 meals. And the sixth and third graders brought us to our goal of 30,000 meals. The entire school community was involved in a successful event. The packaged meals will be sent to Haiti.
